Papua Diving now offers several
exciting full day and half day trips and excursions for
you to explore the Raja Ampat above water!
These excursions are put together for our guests
that do not want to dive or want to take a break from diving now and
then and enjoy the Raja Ampat from a different perspective.
We now offer trips to gorgeous waterfalls (see our Batanta
daytrip), ancient burial sites, bat caves and stunning
waterways (see our Passage daytrip), breathtaking limestone
landscapes and Manta ray spotting (see our Fam Island
daytrip) and the Red Bird of Paradise can now be visited by non
diving guests on any day of the week (see our Red Bird of Paradise
trip).
For our more creative guests, we have the unique option to make your
own wood sculpture under the professional guidance of our
Asmat artist Filipus! He will help you to carve your own sculpture,
using traditional methods to obtain the famous Asmat touch.
Let us organize these great day trips for you and allow us to show
you around the beautiful unexplored islands and jungles of the Raja
Ampat.
You are used to our extensive knowledge of the best underwater
exploration sites, now you can also take advantage of our knowledge
of the unlimited beauty of the landscape above water and enjoy the
wonderful hospitality of the local Papuan people.
You will be mesmerized!
If you are interested in specific subjects like bird watching
or trekking, we can arrange tailor-made trips for you, with longer
treks and overnights in the jungle if you are up for it.
On request, we can also organize guided kayaking trips and small
scale fishing trips with the locals in a local ?prahu? (small boat
made of hollow tree trunk), using the traditional Papuan
fishing techniques. Naturally we only fish on a very small scale and
no endangered species may be fished upon.
We are still busy developing new trips and explorations in the Raja
Ampat for you to experience. We will keep you updated on new offers.
